Day 7
Day 7
Discuss this topic: The United States is declining, like the Roman Empire did. You may agree or disagree, but give a solid reason.
I believe that in some ways the Unites States is declining, like the Roman Empire but in other ways the United States is doing well. I think that for the United States, our education and military is doing well, but our health and government is declining. The United States has many public schools which makes it easy for everyone to get a basic education. I think that having knowledgeable people is something that is needed to keep our government from declining. With out education, we might have made the same mistakes as the Romans did back then. Our health is a big concern that could cause the U.S. over all to decline. Health is important to keep everyone doing well. If Rome didn't have the strong healthy leaders they had, they would not have done as well. The Untied States tries to make things easier for people that are rushing around and dont have enough time, so instead of making a healthy dinner, many families run through the Burger King or McDonalds drive through. At this rate, overall health is quickly going down hill. lastly, Rome had good leaders allowing them to conquer people in order to get land and grow. They thought of actions that would be good and then they did them. Our government isn't acting or making many decisions so, I dont think is necessarily going down hill, I just think its static, not changing for better or worse.
