In class, we prepared for our test by taking notes on section 3-5 in the textbook and completing a worksheet. We also answered questions on what we had out of the text book. Our test is on Friday!

Read page 155-159 and answer questions 1, 3, 4, and 5. 1.  Terms and Names Republic- A   form of government in which power rest with citizens who have the right to vote for their leaders. Patrician- Wealthy landowners who hold most of the power. Plebeians- Common farmers, artisans, and merchants who made up the majority of the population. Tribunes- Elect representatives. Consul- Commanded the army and directed the government for one year. Senate- The aristocratic branch of Rome's government. Dictator- Leader who had absolute power to make laws and command an army.
